About
I received my Ph.D. from the Philosophy and Education program at Teachers College, Columbia University. My dissertation, “The Labor of Learning: A Study of the Role of Pain in Education,” explores the productive role of pain in learning. In addition to research associated with my dissertation, I am interested in the history of educational philosophy, particularly the debates about education in the Socratic dialogues. I am also currently in the early stages of a collaborative project about religious schooling in Canada.
